Overview

Greystoke Mahale is a remote and romantic camp set on a white-sand beach on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, deep inside Mahale Mountains National Park.

Operated by Nomad Tanzania, the camp offers a unique blend of barefoot simplicity and thoughtful comfort, at least 60 kilometres from the nearest road and reached only by boat.

With just six open-fronted bandas built from old dhow wood, a beachside dining pavilion, home-cooked meals made with local ingredients and some of the best chimpanzee trekking in Africa right behind camp, it is ideal for adventurous travellers seeking a true wilderness escape.
