A pioneering river camp on the banks of the Rufiji, where hippos grunt below your private deck and boat safaris depart from your doorstep.
Overview
Rufiji River Camp is one of the oldest and most beloved safari camps in Nyerere National Park, set high on a bank overlooking the mighty Rufiji River.
The camp offers a unique blend of down-to-earth safari authenticity and comfort, providing a front-row seat to the river's resident hippo pods and passing wildlife.
With fourteen en-suite tents spaced along the riverbank, a shaded swimming pool, a campfire under the stars and boat safaris that leave right from camp, it is ideal for travellers seeking a relaxed, unpretentious and genuinely wild safari experience.
